1. Who we are
People Link Consulting Sdn Bhd (Company Registration No. 907979-X) ("People Link", "we", "us" or "our") is a human resources consulting firm based in Malaysia. Our registered address is Unit C-01-09, Level 1, The Hub SS2, Jalan Harapan, Seksyen 19, 46300 Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.
We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data in line with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 of Malaysia ("PDPA"), as amended, and other applicable laws.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store and delete your personal data when you:

contact us or engage our services, including Organisation Structure Design, HR Transformation, Competency Development, Manpower Optimisation, Assessment & Profiling, Remuneration Strategy & Implementation, Performance Management, Talent Management & Succession Planning, Learning & Development, and HR Analytics; or
-
attend our events, workshops or programmes.
"People Link" includes our representatives, affiliates and related companies, and their officers and agents, whether in or outside Malaysia.
By using our website or services, or by giving us your personal data, you consent to it being processed as described in this policy. You may withdraw your consent at any time (see Section 8).
2. Personal data we collect
Personal data is any information that identifies you, directly or indirectly. Depending on how you deal with us, we may collect:
For certain services, such as assessments, executive search or HR projects, we may also collect sensitive personal data, such as nationality, ethnic origin, health information or payslips. We do this only with your explicit consent or where the law permits.
We will tell you which information is mandatory when we collect it. If you do not provide mandatory information, we may be unable to respond to your enquiry, create your account or deliver our services.
3. How we collect it

Directly from you: when you fill in a form on our website, create an account, sign up for an event, complete an assessment or questionnaire, email or call us, or engage our services.

Automatically: when you browse our website, through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 10).

From third parties: from your employer when it engages us for a project, from event organisers, referees, business partners, and publicly available sources such as LinkedIn or company websites.
4. How we use your personal data
We use your personal data only for the purposes below, or for purposes directly related to them:

to respond to your enquiries and requests;

to create, manage and secure your account on our website;

to deliver our consulting, assessment, training and HR advisory services, including projects your employer engages us for;

to conduct executive search and match candidates to suitable roles;

to register you for and run events, workshops and programmes;

to issue invoices, process payments and keep business records;

to send you updates, insights and invitations, where you have agreed or not opted out;

to understand how our website is used and improve it;

to protect our website and business, including preventing fraud and misuse; and

to comply with legal and regulatory obligations, and respond to lawful requests from authorities.
We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in any email, or by emailing admin@peoplelink.com.my.
5. Who we share your personal data with
We keep your personal data confidential. We share it only where needed for the purposes in Section 4, with:

our related and affiliated companies;

our clients and prospective employers, when this is part of the service you engaged us for or applied for;

service providers who act on our behalf, such as website hosting (Wix), email, IT, cloud storage, payment and professional advisers. They may only use your data on our instructions and must keep it secure;

any party you have asked or consented to us sharing your data with;

government agencies, regulators, courts or law enforcement, where required by law; and

a buyer or successor, if all or part of our business is sold, merged or restructured. They must protect your data as this policy describes.
6. Transfers outside Malaysia
Some of our service providers, such as our website platform, store data on servers outside Malaysia. When we transfer your personal data outside Malaysia, we take reasonable steps to ensure it receives a level of protection comparable to the PDPA, as required by law.
7. How long we keep it, and how we protect it
We keep your personal data only as long as needed for the purposes it was collected for, or as required by law (for example, financial and tax records, which Malaysian law requires us to keep for 7 years). When it is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your personal data from loss, misuse, and unauthorised access, disclosure or change. Only staff and service providers who need your data for their work can access it, and they must keep it confidential.
If a personal data breach occurs, we will notify the Personal Data Protection Commissioner and affected individuals where the law requires.
8. Your rights
Under the PDPA, you have the right to:

access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy of it;

correct personal data that is inaccurate, incomplete, misleading or out of date;

withdraw consent, in full or in part, to our processing of your personal data;

stop or limit processing, including for direct marketing;

request a copy of your data be transferred to another organisation, where technically feasible (data portability); and
-
request deletion of your account and personal data (see Section 9).
To exercise any of these rights, email admin@peoplelink.com.my. We may ask you to verify your identity first. We aim to respond within 21 days. Access requests are free, except where the law allows a reasonable fee.
Withdrawing consent does not affect processing done before your withdrawal. It may mean we can no longer provide some services to you.
You are responsible for giving us accurate personal data. If you give us someone else's personal data, such as a referee's, you must first obtain their consent.
9. Account and data deletion
You can ask us to delete your account and the personal data associated with it at any time from the app (Avanlytiq) from People Link via the steps below.
How to request deletion

Email admin@peoplelink.com.my with the subject line "Account Deletion Request - Avanlytiq".

Include your full name and the email address linked to your account or your dealings with us.

We will verify your identity, to protect your data from requests made by someone else.

We will confirm by email once deletion is complete.
Timeline: we will process your request within 30 days of verifying your identity.
What we delete: your account, login details, profile, form submissions, and the personal data you gave us or that we collected through our website and services. This data is permanently removed from our active systems. Copies in backups are overwritten in the normal backup cycle.
What we may keep: we may keep limited data where the law requires or permits it, such as invoices and financial records (kept for 7 years), records needed to resolve disputes or enforce agreements, and a record of your deletion request. This data is kept securely and used for no other purpose. We may also keep anonymised data that can no longer identify you.
Once your account is deleted, it cannot be recovered.
10. Cookies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to make it work, remember your preferences and understand how visitors use it. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies through our cookie banner, and block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the website may not work properly if you do.
11. Other websites
Our website may link to other websites, such as LinkedIn. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please read their privacy policies.
12. Children
Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 without a parent's or guardian's consent.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the "Last updated" date at the top. If we make significant changes, we will place a notice on our website.
If there is any inconsistency between the English and Bahasa Malaysia versions of this policy, the English version prevails.
